Combining traditional in-person training sessions with virtual learning activities. This hybrid approach leverages the benefits of face-to-face interaction and digital resources, providing a flexible and comprehensive learning experience.
Buddy/Mentors
We assign buddies to all new starters, a friendly face to help you settle in quickly. Alongside your manager, as you progress your career at Prime, mentors can be assigned to help foster your personal and professional development and help you reach your full potential.

Ignite is Embark’s flagship learning program, designed to kick-start the careers of talented entry-level trainees and prepare them to become future industry leaders- sooner.

Our Ignite program equips trainees with foundational knowledge across a broad spectrum of expertise, and importantly an understanding as to how these areas of expertise fuse together to accelerate life-changing solutions to global healthcare challenges.

Underpinned by science - Ignite delivers a structured curriculum that fuses medical affairs, medical communications, real-world evidence generation, market access, patient engagement, as well as technology, AI-based strategies, scientific storytelling, commercialization and launch excellence.

Learning is multi-dimensional, from hands on experience with real-world projects, through to mentorship, collaboration with industry professionals and more.

Evolve builds on the foundation of Embark, helping you take your skills to the next level and preparing you to progress to the Inspire stage, where you can mentor and coach others. Each learning journey is unique. We use a tailored, blended approach that includes experiential learning through real-world projects, flexible on-demand training via EdApp, professional sponsorship for further education, and participation in industry events to help you stay ahead in your field.

Inspire

Changemakers – Empowering future leaders in life-science communications


Changemakers is our signature Inspire program and a cornerstone of our learning and development strategy. Designed to help you unleash your full potential, it equips future leaders to shape the evolving landscape of life-science communications across medical, access, marketing, patient affairs, innovation, and digital.

A holistic change management program that fosters talent development, strengthens critical skills, and leverages processes and tools to drive meaningful change. Built on evidence-based behavior change models, it nurtures the mindset and capabilities needed to design and deliver innovative solutions with excellence.

Over six months, participants engage in a blend of online learning, in-person workshops, peer learning groups, and guest events.

The first stream focuses on omnichannel strategy and communications, followed by AI skills. Omnichannel is a customer-first strategic approach that delivers a unified and consistent experience across all engagement channels. Paired with AI expertise, Changemakers becomes a key driver of business growth, reinforcing Prime’s mission as a strategic partner—anticipating and solving client challenges while setting the standard for medical affairs excellence.

Your annual pay review

Prime values its employees and the contribution they make to its success; therefore, we want to reward our employees whenever possible, and pay is a major part of this.

Every year we determine an annual base pay increase, taking into consideration external factors such as the rate of inflation, and internal factors such as the financial performance of the company.

Any annual base increase is effective from 1 April. To be eligible you need to have been employed for 6 months or longer as of 1 April and meet the qualifying criteria.

Your time off

Everyone needs a break, taking time off to rest and refresh is a vital part of ensuring we stay fresh, mentally and physically, and able to perform at our best. For comprehensive information on Prime’s time-off policies, including location-specific nuances, refer to your Employee Handbook. The big picture looks like this:

Holidays/Paid Time Off

Employees are entitled to paid holidays or PTO. As your length of service increases your entitlement increases. Public bank holidays/ Federal holidays are in addition to this entitlement.

Shutdown period

In addition to your holidays/PTO, Prime closes between Christmas and New Year so additional paid leave is given to everybody.

Birthday day off (PTO)

To show our appreciation for all your hard work, each employee gets their special day off to do exactly what they want - whether it’s with friends and family, pursuing a hobby, or simply relaxing.

Sickness

We offer paid sick leave; this varies by location and more details can be found in your employee handbook.

Medical appointments

Need time off for a medical appointment? Don’t worry, we understand and take a flexible approach. We trust that disruption to the working day is kept to a minimum and that you liaise with your manager to make up the time within the same week.

Giving blood

Giving blood is a great thing to do, which is why we give you the option to have reasonable time off to give blood, if this is available in your location.

Sabbaticals

These give you the opportunity to travel or pursue other interests outside work without leaving your job. Sabbaticals are discretionary, unpaid, and each request is reviewed on an individual basis.

Bereavement

Grief is your journey that takes time, and everyone reacts differently. To support you there are a number of leave options available.

Your pension and life assurance

We understand our employees’ need for financial security and peace of mind, providing both long-term stability in retirement and immediate protection for their loved ones in case of unforeseen events. Pension scheme

Prime offers comprehensive retirement plans for its employees in both the UK and the US. In the UK this includes a pension salary sacrifice option.

Pension support

We have external partners who can provide employees with pension/401k advice in both the UK and US. This gives you the opportunity to have one-to-one pension advice sessions, including early retirement planning, pension investment, options to consolidate pension funds and any other general pension information.

Life assurance

Prime provides life assurance, in both the UK and US. For more details, please refer to your Employee Handbook.

At Prime our promotion process takes place across the business every 6 months, in April and October.

For Ignite employees a promotion window may occur every 3 months.

Bonuses are another important way that we reward and recognize performance at Prime.

The discretionary bonus process takes place annually, with awards based on overall company performance as well as your personal contribution to success.

The review period runs from January to December. For colleagues who have joined part way through the year, a bonus would be eligible on a pro rata basis.
